Kevin Congemi:: GENERAL MANAGER
Growing up in Houston in an
Italian-American household, dinner was
not just a meal it was an event! For
more than 20 years Kevin has been
affiliated with food service industry,
which began in high school and later
while attending Lamar University where
he worked as a cook at Steak and Ale.
Kevin received his formal training in
management while working all facets of
food and beverage at Hyatt Hotels on San
Antonio's famous River Walk. He was also
the opening manager of Hyatt Aventine in
La Jolla, California. Seeking a more
food passionate environment, he switched
gears by joining Piatti Italian
Restaurant Group out of San Francisco.
It was there that his food and wine
knowledge flourished and he became an
opening team member for four new Piatti
Restaurants in Hawaii and California.
After a Five-year tenure with Piatti,
Kevin longed to be back home in Texas
and was fortunate to be able to
continue on in the Italian themed
restaurant field by joining Patrizio
Restaurant in Dallas. He worked for
seven years at the Highland Park and
Plano locations as General Manager.
Kevin says that 2007 has been a most
rewarding year for him. Not only for the
opportunity to join the prestigious
Dakota's Steakhouse, but with his wife
Maria upon celebrating their daughter
Anna's first birthday.
